A visual music player focused entirely on visual and audible music experience.
Miami Nights 1984 is the stage name for Michael Glover, electronic and synthwave music producer from Victoria, BC, Canada. He founded Rosso Corsa Records, a revival of synthesizer music. With Rosso Corsa, he collaborated with many artists such as Mitch Murder, Lazerhawk, Jordan F and Lost Years to make 1980s-inspired music. He released his debut album Early Summer in 2010 followed by the album Turbulence in 2012. He has collaborated with and remixed several artists, such as Gotye and Electric Youth.
This is part of a series of personal projects that explore quick ideation. Each piece of this series has been done in less than four hours and delivers one visual using 3 main colours. With this practice I don't pretend to deliver a final visual, the main goal is to explore my creative taste and train myself to think and paint my thoughts quickly.
Project Goals
Mix visual and audio in a music player that can play music videos in the background while playing your favourite music.
Conclusions
We can question if the vertical side player controls are effective in this design, which most likely it would be more effective to use the classic controller at the bottom.
